Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to Anne Arundel County Released Inmates. By using the site, you agree to follow these conditions and all applicable laws.

This privately owned site is not connected with any government body, sheriff, jail, or corrections department. Neither it nor its advertising partners offers a consumer report or any service for credit, employment, insurance, housing, or another FCRA-covered decision. It is a records-resource site, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

The site is a private reference resource with no role in Anne Arundel County or Maryland government. It stores no official custody or release record and cannot confirm a person’s status, release anyone, accept a filing, or change a public record.

Its pages point toward official detention, corrections, court, supervision, and release-record channels. Some pages also connect users with outside research tools.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use must be lawful, respectful, and consistent with the limited reference purpose of the site.

  • Do not violate a law while using any page or linked resource.
  • Do not use information to stalk, threaten, intimidate, or harass another person.
  • Do not rely on site content for hiring, housing, lending, credit, or insurance decisions.
  • Do not seek unauthorized access to the site, server, or another user’s data.
  • Do not operate automated scraping tools, bots, or mass collection systems.
  • Do not interfere with site access or service for other visitors.

No Consumer Reports

The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports, and its advertising partners do not provide screening through this site. You agree not to use its content for any FCRA-governed purpose.

  • Hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment action
  • Tenant selection, lease approval, or housing access
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
  • License, permit, or government-program eligibility
  • Any other decision regulated by the FCRA

Links to Other Services

Links may lead to county release records, sheriff or corrections pages, courts, legal-help resources, federal systems, and outside search tools. A link does not mean endorsement. This site is not responsible for another service’s content, security, data practices, terms, prices, or availability. Review the destination’s rules before using it.

No Warranties

All pages and functions are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that the service will meet any particular need.

  • Information may not be complete, current, or error-free.
  • Access may be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable.
  • Software may contain bugs or security weaknesses.
  • An outside search may return partial or inaccurate results.

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing on the site is an official statement from Anne Arundel County, Maryland DPSCS, a court, or another government office.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent Maryland law permits, the site and those involved in operating it are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside link.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend and hold the site, its operators, and its partners harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the service or your breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Original text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Anne Arundel County Released Inmates or its content partners unless another source is identified. You may not copy, distribute, republish, or modify those materials without written permission.

Updates to These Terms

These terms may change at any time. A revised version becomes effective when posted on this page, and continued use after posting means the updated terms apply.

Suspension of Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice, including when use threatens the site or violates these conditions.

Maryland Law Controls

Maryland law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Maryland.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain effective. The affected provision will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it lawful and enforceable.
